    Best way to power...........................

I can still picture the old Pioneer units in my mind's eye. And laugh at the JC Whitney catalog with the oddest assortment of car stereo hardware to come out of (I assume) Japan. Single DIN head units with TV screens, "200 Watt" EQ-boosters, boomerang TV antennas, Minimus 7 knock-offs. Fun times.

    Best way to power...........................

An old school EQ booster. Don't be too surprised if you get it all hooked up and it sounds worse than before. Unless, of course, you are hooking it up to an old school head unit...

Does rear speakers improves driver audio experience?

Gotcha. I meant being able to localize the subs. I find the crossover point has to be impractically high to be able to tell where they are, unless they are causing something nearby them to vibrate audibly.

Must have one helluva high crossover point on your subs.

Does rear speakers improves driver audio experience?

I prefer with rather than without, but the volume is kept very low. If I can localize the sound source, it's too loud. It's like surround sound. The effect is best when kept subtle.

    Help With Kenwood DDX9907XR / DMX907S - Kenwood Technical Support Can't Help

Without knowing the system, could it have anything to do with the interlock that prevents viewing certain sources unless the car is parked with the e-brake engaged? (or is that when you are specifically trying to make it work?)

    Amp Shorting out Infotainment Screen?

They satire it in the movie The Incredibles, but it's sadly true. Insurers will do anything they can to take the money and never pay it back. I had customer whose car we did full upgrade to. New turbos, exhaust, injectors, intake, boost control, fuel system control. The works. He had to get a...

phase alignment procedure of the subwoofer with the main

What equipment are you using? It can be done physically (placement of sub), electrically (reversing wiring), electronically (DSP). If your amp has a phase "switch", you only have two options. In that case, select a piece of music you are VERY familiar with from hearing it on a good system, play...

phase alignment procedure of the subwoofer with the main

Probably best to know what he has before making a suggestion on how to do it. If you have a problem, keep in the 'dome where it belongs.

Are you using REW and a DSP?

problem with filter management on rew

Are you measuring each channel separately? If so, you should apply EQ per channel based on your measurements. i.e. My right front may show a 2dB boost needed at 1.5KHz with a Q of .7, but the left front may only need 1dB with a Q of .5 due to the listening position. I'd apply the EQ to each...

No audio from door speakers after replacing battery.

Sounds like my DSP when it is reset to default mode. i.e. instead of all settings going ot "zero", it'll apply crossovers to some channnels, etc. Maybe your Alpine literally got confused and turned off the output for the front amp (which would tie in to Jimi's idea of resetting things).

1966 Corvette Custom Autosound Radio Won't Preset

Do you turn it to the stop? Try a partial turn and hold.

1966 Corvette Custom Autosound Radio Won't Preset

Does it say "manual" when you do a partial turn and hold of the dial? It should do that and manually tune, then go back to automatic search the next time you turn the knob.
