The deck in the car this sub is going in doesn't have sub level control. Is there a remote bass control that would work like a deck with sub level without having to buy a new deck?

Where is the best and cheapest place to pick up an RE 15 XXX. Also what amp do you think would be a good choice for it? It will be ported so it probably needs a subsonic filter I think.

Yes, size definately does matter, especially with ported if you want to tune it to the right frequency. Ported is louder, sealed is more for sound quality. If you have two subs in a box and divide them so they have their own chamber it allows one to keep playing without blowing if the other one...

Isn't that a the frequency range pretty bad too? It cuts out at 39 even though you can hear down to around 20.

Gotta put my vote in for the W6 V2, especially once the 13" version comes out...

1000 to both meaning 500 to each one? If so then you should have no problem, they run well off 600 rms too, just keep the gains reasonable.

Are there any grilles out there for JL 12 W6 V2's? If not, does anyone know where to find those curved bar things I see on some boxes so I could at least protect my sub a little?

And what is xmax, using the full stroke? How can you tell it is?

Is a JL W6 V2 one of the ones with a not so stiff suspension that doesn't need much breaking in?

And so I just play the bass tests at a medium level, say about 15, for two weeks?

So if I am not going to free air the sub, is there anything I should do to break in the sub once it is installed? One guy mentioned the 20 hz tone, is this while the sub is in the box installed in my car? Also, where can I d/l a 20 hz tone and at what volume should i play it at and for how long?

Whats the difference between the bass focus and the manual time correction in the time correction setting?
