Wait, you said you spliced at the amp? Before or after the stock amp? The wires going in to the amp from the stock HU should already be low level. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) So if you took low level and lowered it you wouldn't have much left hence the gain not helping much.

It's like $55 for 25'. And that's 1500 rms. Would that still be fine? My actual run shouldn't be much over 10' but I wanted some extra for the big three and such.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing but it's going to take some getting used to. How much difference are you going to see in a sq oriented sub and a spl oriented one? Will an spl oriented sub really sound that bad?

Well I'm going to re do I electrical to support the the thing here any way. I really am open to suggestions here I just had done A LOT of reading and as far as i can tell if you've got little space and want low response kicker is the way to go. And 1.13 or what ever the volume of that box is...

Ok ok.. kicker = bad... there went my bubble.. So the jls are going to be something like 700 rms for 2?.. Thats a major drop in power from the cvxs. I take it power is not needed to be loud in a tight box?
