Well this is a worst case scenario. I always mention it but it has never happened lol. As far as how to test them, I believe a DMM Will do it. Should get 5, 4, 2, or 1V depending upon what your HU has them rated at

Could be a fried rca output on your HU. IPod test will decide that. Bad speaker wire would still produce sound just really quiet and terrible sound. A DMM is $4-5 at harbor freight. I'd suggest investing lol.

Sounds like bad rcas to me. Go with the iPod test or pull your radio and run a new set just straight from the HU to the amp for a quick test. If sound returns, pull the old cable and run the new one

OP does the Zeus have it's bass knob?

I bought a Pioneer head unit from big Scott and received it two days ago. It was well packaged and worked perfectly when I installed it. There were a few hangups in shipping, but he kept me updated very well and still got it to it's destination before I returned from vacation. Good price, good...

I've only dealt with the Zeus series but I've always had good experiences with Hifonics amps. Not only that, they look friggin cool when turned on.

Just installed a 5700bhs for a friend. It is a really good model.

If the holes were stripped due to excessive drive on the screws, that could be why they are loose. Did you mount them personally? When I was new to car audio, I couldn't figure out why my screws wouldn't grab, it was because I was way over-torquing them and stripping the hell out of the screw holes.
