I’ve just replaced my old amp which was 500w rms with a new one 1200rms I plugged in one of my speakers and when I turn the volume up past 28 it goes into protection mode the amp is still cold and the speaker that’s plugged in is only pulling 600rms I saw online it could be ground or other wires...

Okay so I’ve got 2 4ohm svc subs 300w rms a piece wired in parallel which should make them 2 ohm right? And I’ve got a 500w dvc sub 2ohm so if I get a 1200w @ 2 ohm amplifier I should be able to power them both sufficiently? Just looking for some confirmation, I hate this speaker stuff it’s...
