    You left me with the doubt about this so I went and remove my alt and turns out you're right. There are two posts outside the alt, one is pos and goes to the bat and the other (which i thought it was neg) turns out to be the protection circuit. In the inside the alt is wired so the alt case...

    Finally I got my problem solved!!!!! It turn's out that my car has a weird protection system built in that doesn't allow the alt to be grounded directly to the chassis, frame or neg bat post... so i had to upgrade my ground from engine to chassis and voila. Now ready to the next step...

    My alt is half way... just beneath the air filter but just out of range if you try to reach from beneath the car So i had to took out the air filter and it's base to get to it and it wasn't that easy after that either so try to see if you can remove some components to make room just be sure...

    @Solo-baric Follow the cables leading out of your pos bat post then when they get lost underneath the rest of your car components tag it with masking tape and then jack it up carfeully and get underneath your car. Look for your cables with the masking tape and keep tracking them till you get...
