    Planet Audio Amplifiers

A friend of mine had a Planet Audio 1600 watt amp(forgot the model) and it made his subs pound pretty hard. I didn't see any problems but he could have done better

Multiple subs vs single large sub

Yeah I agree. I have heard 2 sundown audio 15s vs 2 kicker comp 12s and I was amazed on how sundown sounded a lot cleaner, and for being 15s! Now I pay even more attention to the brand

Your amp and the sub together are fine. Just get a professionally designed box and have fun bumpin'

    Fs: Smd dd-1

This product made my sound system so much louder, and hit lower I LOVE IT

    New enclosure

I would upgrade you power like what all of the other guys were saying and get them ported @32 hz

Multiple subs vs single large sub

The sub has a role in sound quality and loudness and performance that someone wants as well right?

Multiple subs vs single large sub

Then isn't it all in the enclosure/sub?

Does inverting your subs lower SPL?

I had a co worker tell me that if you invert subs that it will be louder and move more air(don't know if he is right or not). But I have also heard that you can hear mechanical noise depending on the sub

    2 12's or 1 18

I would say 1 18 would be louder

Multiple subs vs single large sub

A 12 has more surface area than a 10, so a 12 will sound deeper

    Multi Subs different brands

I agree. Plus it would look awkward when you open your trunk =|

    Sundown SA-12 ?

Don't go 38 IMO that's too high of tuning for me. The sa's will sound nice around 32 hz

Subs cut out in the middle of playing (PLEASE HELP!)

Have you checked the fuse? Your system seems to need a lot of power and if it doesn't get as much as it wants, your fuse will fry and cut off the power to the subs

    Overpowering Rockford Sub?

I'd have to agree with the posts before me. Use a meter, it's more accurate and you will know from the meter if you are distorting anything

Good 15 inch or 12 inch sub + amp?

Very true. I have a single 15 in a custom ported box @32 hz and it hits so much harder than my old 2 12s. Go with a good 15 you will be very satisfied.
