it is an '05 GMC Sierra regular cab truck. I have a small system with only 75W on the ID CXS62 v.2's in the doors and a pair of older Memphis Power Reference 10's with 250W. I don't want it to smell like freshly paved raod every time it gets warm.

how much have you guys spent for a daily driver to have a quiet enough interior that a small stereo can sound decent? I used to compete a long time ago and all we had back then was peel n seal. Times have certainly changed. I've gotten 2 quotes so far and both were around $500 for materials...

eclipse 5030 - I'm using one in my truck and I still have my old 5302 because it sounds so good. I have alpines too, but the eclipses sounds better.

my question has to do with coverage. with a mass loading type damper why does everyone cover every square inch with multiple layers? Wouldn't you want to just add enough mass to lower the resonant frequency below 20hz and then add a layer of decoupling foam and then a layer of mass loaded...
