Great info. Tons of research to do and questions to ask. How are the splaudios in comparison to say SQ HDC3's? I say I don't want to go overboard, but the idea of just (2) 15s doesn't sit well with me knowing I have the money and room for (3-4).

No, I didn't think that moving a few decimal points on an invoice, would move a few decibel points on a meter. I did however believe, better subs, on top of more power, amongst other things would yield better numbers. Or Magically be audibly louder, so to speak I could drop $5,000 into it...

Couldn't you just take it to a local audio shop and have it tested? If they decline, tell them if it's toast, you will buy one of their amps, but actually be present to witness the test, incase they try to pull a fast one!

It depends on the wire rating. From what I've learned, you fuse the wire according to the wire, not the fuse(s) size of the amp.
