i just put a pioneer 6000ub in my car, and i was between that and the 6900ub and the 9886... from my point of view, i made the wrong choice and will be upgrading to a 9887 at some point over the summer. I got it because i ended up getting it for 150 bucks, but i would rather have spent near 300...

the top one will use the factory amp, and the bottom one will bypass it. IMO if you are going to change out speakers and add amps then take the bottom one, if you are only changing the head unit then take the top one.

I just installed a 6000ub in my 02 jeep grand cherokee, and i have the stock infinity system in there (changing it out soon hopefully)... is there something i should know about the HPF setting on my head unit? I think it has 63hz up to like 100hz or so and i cant really tell if it is doing...

i think im just gonna bite the bullet and buy an ipod then lol.. i really wanted to avoid it but oh well... it seems like the smartest move to make as almost every company's head units (even with no USB input) have some sort of ipod interface

yeah i use napster so i can use any mp3 player but ipods and zunes... idk about hard drives because USB sticks dont work... anybody know if hard drives work with napster?

nah amp doesnt appear tampered with... actually went back and complained... i somehow ended up returning the 5100 and getting a 6000ub for 150 bucks (new, arguing goes a long way i suppose?), and a different guy installed it this time.... and the hissing is gone! sounds great now... makes me...
