Help with install all crossed up on xovers

That makes sense to me, I was afraid if I bypassed those and messed up setting the others I may damage my component speakers. I'll play with it some this weekend and see how it all turns out. I will start off just using my dsp with all settings at 0 and no filters, maybe use it for time...

Help with install all crossed up on xovers

Thanks for your reply, does it hurt anything to go thru more than 1 xover. Like if I set my hu or dsp xover and then ran it thru the passive xovers? I thought I read that this would get the signal out of phase? I have alot to learn about this dsp business and I'm wondering if it is worth the...

Help with install all crossed up on xovers

I have a question on the best way to utilize what I have. This is in a 08 Chevy Impala. My question is about the crossovers and time alignment. My headunit is capable of both to some degree. Should I be using the passive crossovers at all? Should I do away with the Dayton DSP? Any suggestions...

    Alpine ILX-F509

Thanks man, someone else gave me the same opinion and I was thinking the same thing. Just a friend told me that was a mistake but he really couldn't say why so it made me want to get a few more opinions. I actually somewhat intimidated by all the settings possible with the dsp as well as the...

    Dayton DSP Help

I knew I was in over my head somewhat. My end goal is probably like everyone elses, lol, I would love to have great sq with tight bass, I'm not so much into the RB as I am Rock and Roll, but I listen to everything on occasion. I am planning on adding a SALT 500.4 or a RF T1000-4 for the...

Double negative and postive outputs?! Plesse help...

I have a Taramps Smart 3K that I'm very happy with. I'm just a novice but it was very easy install and works great on 2, 12's. I watched a dyno test of this amp is what sold me on it. Check youtube for Smart 3K dyno if you want.

    Dayton DSP Help

I have the Linkwitz Riley option no worries, the RF components have separate xovers and actually wired as 2 6.5" and 2 tweeters so maybe channel 1+2 Front L R tweeters and channel 3+4 Front LR 6.5 would this change the xover points on these channels? Thanks for the help, I'm pretty lost on the...

    Dayton DSP Help

I'm currently installing a Alpine Halo ILx-F509 in my 08 Impala. I have a Dayton DSP-408 with 4 inputs and 8 outputs. The Alpine has 6 RCA outs, am I better to run the sub outputs from the Alpine to my sub amp directly, or just ignore the sub outputs from the Alpine and use the DSP to feed my...

Opinion on good 4 channel amp

Yeah I can get the SALT for about $100 less than a refurbished RF. I have RF component speakers and not that it matters at all but that's why I was leaning toward the RF amp. SALT specs twice the power of the RF. I just wondered if they underrate their power like RF does?

Opinion on good 4 channel amp

I'm wanting a 4 channel amp for mids and highs. I have it narrowed down to a SALT 2000.4 and Rockford Fosgate T1000-4. Both are class ad amps. Which would you guys go with?
