OK, I don't have an issue with anything you said in your post except the 100 percent coverage part. I specifically chose noico because I was going 100 percent coverage with deadener and CCF. Yes, there is a diminishing returns on deadener. And a heavier product will have more effect using less product. The largest effect is adding mass to the center of whatever panel. The closer to the edge you get the less effect you get. In my case I covered entire panels and added additional deadener to the center, then covered with CCF. I also had plenty of product to treat interior trim as well. Keep in mind I have over 350 SQ feet of both CCF and deadener in my jetta. Weight isn't really a concern for me personally, but cost was at that time. For what I spent on the CCF and deadener, I'm more than happy with the results. If I had tried to use a more "premium" product I would have spent almost 3 times as much. Could I have used less of a premium product? Most likely, but I was doing full coverage regardless. MLV is next on my list, but it's a bit pricy and hard to work with. It needs to be isolated from the vehicle among other things. There is more to a deadener than pure performance. As for your last comment about amps, I will definitely agree to a point. I have been more than impressed with my taramps Smart 3, I loved my Mmats d2100.2, but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the good ol audiopipe boner from way back when. Hell, I'm about to buy an audison AP F8.9 to replace my Helix stage amp. Premium equipment definitely has its benefits, but the budget market exists for a reason. 70 percent of the performance for a third of the price is a win in my book. Matt
