Hello everyone! I'm from Columbus and I am 17, I have a system in my car and I've helped many friends with installs too. I have a 2007 Honda CR-V and I have a JVC KD-R980BTS headunit with JBL GX602 speakers in all doors.
In the trunk I have 2 American Bass XD-1544s in a sealed prefab box wired down to 1 ohm on an Orion Cobalt 2500.1 monoblock. I have a 250-amp Custom Electric alternator and I've done the "group 24F battery mod".
I have SkyHighCarAudio OFC wire for everything ; 1/0 gauge from the alternator to the battery, then 4 gauge going to the amplifier and my grounding point back in the trunk. I also have installed a CompuStar 2-way alarm and remote start with the drone mobile service.
I paid for it all myself and did most of the work except installing the alternator and 1/0 charge wire, and this project was all done one-piece-at-a-time from when I got my car when I turned 16 until February of this year basically.
I know it isn't as loud as it could be because of my choice of box but I don't have the tools or time to tune a port, but it still gets down - flexes my windshield, wipers slap around, sometimes sets off nearby alarms. I'm happy with it. Enough rambling from me now, nice to meet y'all!!!
