Thought I'd show you guys what I've been doing to my car the last few days- _ Last week, my battery died. Ordered a Optima RedTop batt immediately after. Got it in the mail two days ago and for some reason I decided to start experimenting with Plasti Dip that same day. http://i.imgur.com/tkAO7fr.jpg Replacing the battery in my car is a ******* joke. I will never understand who thought putting the battery in the wheel well was a good idea. Anyways, got that swapped out and got each rim plasti dipped. Took about 4 hours to dip all 4 wheels and change my batt. (Took so long because of the battery placement and because I had a ****** jack and had to do each wheel one by one.) http://i.imgur.com/bTyRqjI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/KH0oJnw.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0S2rd1m.jpg The following day my MRX-M110 and my HD149BT came in the mail! Back to work! Got my old Fosgate R500X1D swapped out and the MRX-M110 in! Got my ****** old HU out and the HD149BT in. Took about an hour to get everything installed nicely. Don't mind the partial air freshener stuck in my vents lol. http://i.imgur.com/icLEHWk.jpg I'll post a picture of the MRX if requested. I forgot to take one. TODAY! Blacked out all my emblems with dip and got my subs mounted down in my trunk. http://i.imgur.com/X41LRDz.jpg http://i.imgur.com/kuhGpon.jpg I mounted my subs with a huge $20 piece of heavy duty velcro. Seems to be holding up very well so far. http://i.imgur.com/YiWID20.jpg FINSIHED FOR NOW: http://i.imgur.com/4FmV5NN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/45v1jP5.jpg Doesn't look so bad for a garbage old car ay? EDIT: the entire reason I wanted to dip my rims is because the chrome was starting to fade. They were not taken very good care of by the previous owner.
