About 6 or 8 years ago I purchased some pioneer tower speakers and put them in my room. I decided it'd be a good idea to bring them to college, and I think I blew the tweeter on it. We had a party, and were blasting some song, and all of the sudden it basically goes from extremely loud to about half as loud. The Mids on the speakers are fine, and sound good still, and I think the woofer is still good, just the tweeters are bad. Here are the speakers: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/HomeEntertainment/Speakers/Pioneer-Speakers/S-H352F-K?tab=B Specifications: * 3-Way Floor Standing Loudspeaker * 12mm (1/2") Polycarbonate tweeter * 75mm (3") Bi-laminate midrange * 165mm (6.5") Polypropylene cone woofer Would it be possible to buy just a tweeter and a midrange from partsexpress and toss them in there? Anyone have any advice? Also looking to get loud for cheap, and sound quality isnt a huge issue here. I was thinking about picking up 2 of these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=264-809 And 2 new tweeters or something. Would this be too much effort for these old speakers?
