[QUOTE="Pdevore1003, post: 8652528, member: 675432"] So I have decided to build an enclosure for my son’s new car. He has a 2017 Chevy Cruze and we are installing 2 Sundown Audio SA-10’s. I have no experience with the calculations or tuning a potted enclosure to a certain frequency. I pulled as much information from Sundowns site and I’ve been looking around here for a bit now. My goal is to take up as little of his trunk as possible BUT still give the subs the space they need. According to Sundown, these subs need 1-1.25cf each in a ported enclosure. These are dual 4ohm each so we are waiting down to 1ohm and running them off an NVX 1200.1 that’s rated at 1200rms at ohm. Sundown states to tune to 34hertz. I have designed this enclosure by using some of the specs from Sundown but altering them to fit the width of the trunk. The width of 35.5” and height of 17” are max numbers and I can not go larger. Please see the below drawings I created and let me know your thoughts. Also, please feel free to comment on what frequency this box would be tuned at in this design. I am certainly open to changing the design or even consider a tube port if it makes sense. Again, this is the first time I’ve done this so I may be completely off base here and if I am please feel free to tell me.
