hey guys i have a 70 amp alternator in my 1981 ford mustang, and i was wondering how many watts will it produce? i have a rockford 501x amp powering two 10in infinity subs, and im am planing on geting a us acoustics 4065 for the speakers.

You might be pushing it, but considering that car is probably pretty much stripped of electrical options you should be OK.

I have an '88 tbird with a 75A alt - 800 class D watts, about 250 a/b. Electric cooling fans, foglights, pwr seats/windows -- blah blah -- All I have is slight dimming at high power and low rpms.
