So my stock 2013 Grand Cherokee came with a 180a high output alt. I decided to have singer recase my alt. Before on my stock alt my charging voltage hot was 14.6, Now with the singer in its 14.1 Why would it have gone down? I know Singer usually has his set points at 14.8. I contacted Mike also to see why. Im hoping the 270a will be much better even though its less voltage. I forgot my vehicle came stock with 180a high out.

Any suggestions? or maybe someone knows why? Im gonna cold start in the morning and read to see where im at. This is testing at the charging point 3 ft away from the alt.

Does this harness have anything resembling an LOC? If not, I would guess that is the issue. I would test an inline passive LOC.
