Why do some amp instal kits have 8 gage wire with a 30 amp fuse and some have 8 gage wire with a 60 amp fuse?

depens on power n current draw for amp.

altho with a 60amp fuse i would prob run 4 awg

Are you sure the 30A kit wasn't 10 ga wire?

They usually package 30A with 10ga and 50 or 60A with 8 ga.

couldn't tell you why...but either works. I think the limit of 8ga is somewhere between 60-80 iirc.

I will double check to see if it was 10 gage wire...It seams I have seen some amp kits with 8 gage wire and 30 amp fuse. I guess I am also asking what the highest fuse you could but on 8 gage wire.
