Amp to power 2 S12L7 12"

Ok I just upgraded my 2 sony 12's with 2 Kicker S12L7 12" and my pocket is feeling the pain of emptyness now all my money is gone hehe.

i am currently using a maystar X amp rated at 750w rms this powerd my 2 sonys just fine but figured am gunna need some more power for these 2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If each sub is rated at 750w rms I need a 1500w rms amp right?

Anyone got recomendations for an amp I could use? and now am using much more power would I need to consider a new alt or anything?

The hifonics brutus bx1500d sounds like the perfect amo for you. It can be had brand new off ebay for around 230. I have never used this amp but have heard great things. Also look into the jbl1200.1. You are probably gonna shat urself when u hear the spl increase from your previous sony subs!

hehe I hope so, I liked the sony ones and despite what people said i thought they sounded alright, but then I heard someone with a comp vr or something and it soudned better than my sonys put together so figured ide go one step ahead and get some L7's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if dual 2 ohm i'd go either a fosgate 1501bd$475 or a mtx 1501d $350....if dual 4 ohm if on a budget get the brutus

please be sure to read my review on the bx1500d before you but it, so you'll have an idea of what to expect.

yea limitkid did a review and basically said only get the brutus if your gonna run it at 1 ohm.

yea, so if ur gunna get the dual 4 ohm get the brutus...that is what they will go down to if wired parallel...(1 ohm)
