I will be purchasing a 0/1 gauge wire kit for 2 amplifers, Diamond D7401 (800RMS at 2 Ohms) and Diamond D7152 (2 X 150 RMS)

The wiring will be the following 4 gauge into a distribution block into a single 0/1 gauge wire. My intention is to use a 150 watt fuse near the battery with an inline fuse holder.

My questions are as follows:

Do I need fuses on the 4 gauge line prior to the distribution block?

When wiring the ground, what size wire, 0/1 or 4?

When wiring the ground should I run the wire all the way to the battery or ground near the amplifier?

I have read the fuses are used to protect the wire from catching on fire. Do I only need to fuse the wire for the maximum output or RMS of the amp?

I would fuse the 1/0awg with 200-350A.. 150 is a little smallish.

You can get a fused distro block, which will fuse the outputs for you.

the grounds should be the same size as the amplifiers input power. In this case since your splitting the 1/0awg to 4awgs, the ground should be 4awg.

just ground to a CLEAN bare piece of metal near the amp

Fuse just under the suggested carrying capacity of the wire. 4awg is rated to just over 150A so 100-150A would be safe. 1/0awg is rated just over 350A so 200-350A would be good.
