So i started designing a box for the back of my trunk.

theres the link to a picture i drew on paint..

the red lines are the back of the box

the grey shade is the inner wall to create the port for the box

the JL part in the front is gona be the hole for the port

this is going to hold my JL 8W7

just wondering..before i start up this project.

what kind of wood do i use?

and for the dimentions. are there exact sizes for the port/box to maximize the SPL from the sub?
