Can Amp of Fuse be TOO large?

In the process of buying the stuff needed for my install.

Being that the ANL fuses i'm buying are all one price.....

Could i get like the highest and use for my inline and Dblock to amp even if it's overkill?

Would there be any negative effects?

I didn't run a search, sorry. Will check after.

Any info is highly appreciated!

u obviously don't understand. fuses are for protection of your things. say a 10 gauge power wire can only handle 40 amps of current tops. then you put in a 30 amp fuse in the fuse holder. that way if 50 amps try to go through then the fuse will blow and your wire won't catch on fire. same with you d block.

you don't just buy the biggest fuse u can find.

ooo ok..... i see now. I had it completely backwords.

Ok well let me just tell u my setup.

Amp: v900XD

Sub: 12" XXX

Wiring: Knukonceptz

The Amp gives anywhere from 1500 to 1800 at 1 ohm.

The wiring will b 1/0 from batt to inline about 5" from batt to fuse holder

then

1/0 from inline to dblock, about 3-4 feet from inline to dblock

then

4 from dblock to amp, about 1-2 feet.

SO i'm thinking 200-250 AMP ANL fuse for inline, maybe less

AND

about 100 for dblock

What ya think?

btw, using the block because i will be replacing the speakers later on.
