Capacitor

A cap is only a band-aid. The first thing I would do is buy a new high AMP alternator. It is not going to hurt to have one, but you still may get dimming depending on thr draw on your system. Your stock alt may have to work overtime to charge everything.

 
I would get one if i was you never hurts. But if nothing else it looks cool. You got the Power Acoustik 2400bd amp i am guessing. If so those are supposed to be low draw amps. But get a cap and see how it works. If you get dimming i would get a new alt. I got 2 of the 3000 Bd's and stock alternator. All works fine.
