i want to remove the dash lining or w/e its called...trim or w/e that goes around the stereo and a/c and stuff on my dodge ram... 1st-how do i remove it? 2nd-i want to paint it blue...what kind of paint? what kind of technique? brush or spray or what?

First off removal should be relevently simple. I highly suggest a Haynes manual for your car if the screws or clips holding it are not obvious. If you try prying **** off cause you can't afford a 20 dollar manual you are going to be replacing a much more expensive part you just snapped in half. As for painting the pieces use a degreaser, you can find those just about anywhere. Soap and water may leave a film that the paint will not properly adhere to. lay down a couple thin layers of primer, and if the piece is a smooth texture you can touch this primer up with a 300+ grit sand paper, then coat with paint. I highly reccomend spray over brush cause paint strokes will look welfare:/ as for the type of paint check out your Canadian Tire/Auto Zone whatever and ask in the automotive department. I used a plastic primer on my car and painted over it with black paint for rollbars. Rollbar paint may not have been the best but it's ability for resistance might make it a good idea if keys and whatnot are hitting this area, due to it's high scratch resistance. Good Luck.

Oh yeah, and if the piece is plastic don't forget a few thin layers of clear coat for shine. Clear coat also hardends overtop of the paint and further protects it.
