Hi everyone! Some months ago, my subwoofer started doing weird things, when the bass drop was hard enough it stopped working and in the rest of the song it was working normally until it stopped working completely. i checked the diff alone to see if it works and it does, and i thought the problem was the amplifier but i connected it to another diff in my friends car and it works perfectly. a few days ago i had some time and i checked the cables noticing that the ground terminal fell off. today i got new a new amplifier and i wanted to make it work again, but the diffuser isnt working, like it isnt getting any power, i checked all the cables again but they are fine... the amp i got is working, no protection led lights on or anything. what should i do?
those are the amps i tried today and the diff i currently use, sorry about the bad pics

what should i do?
If you have easy access to the RCA wires at radio side, disconnect them. If no easy access, use a spare set of RCA wires to plug into the amp. Turn on the system and with your fingertip tap on the center pins of the RCAs (make sure RCAs do not touch anything else). You should be able to hear your subwoofer make some kind of sound with every tap.

i tried that, even with rca wires connected directly to the subwoofer and my phone (dont ask me how, a friend of mine did it for me), and it worked perfectly...
sorry for the late response

In that case, it may be the RCA output of the radio that has gone bad. Solder points sometimes crack and give sporadic performance until they fail completely.
When the bass dropped, I assume it rattled the dashboard and the radio along with it. That would explain the cutting in and out until failure.

thing is i tried with 3 different radios, one of my friend's, and the other 2 are mine and they worked before with the same setup... did it fry all 4 radios? :D

So you tested those same RCA wires with your phone directly and it did work?
Also, to clarify, the amp does turn on and you redid the ground cable?

No, my friend had some rca wires on one end and jack on the other end. I also tried with 2 different rca wired from radio to the amp
Yes, the amp turns on, and I redid the ground cable. It may be the possibility that the 2 amps I Got Monday are not working, the Novex one is missing a protection led and on the us blaster one there is a “terminal” or “thermal” led on, I can’t read what it says exactly, but the thing is the first amp I had works on my brothers-in-law car and it didn’t work on mine

The amp and subwoofer combination that worked with this test is the one you should use for testing in your car. It is odd that 4 different radios, 3 amps, and 3 RCA cables would all fail to work.
The amp with the thermal light is definitely cooked. The Novex is a mystery but should be tried with the phone to verify it's functionality. If it works in your car with the phone but not that radio, then it will be your RCAs or the radio.

i got a new amp, new rca cables and a new radio yesterday, and I got it working 😁😁 pretty sure somehow I burned the rcas and the rcas burned the output on all the radios I used
Thanks a lot for the help!
