EverStart Maxx batteries?

So, my buddy GAVE me a brand new batter, EverStart Maxx. Now I personally havn't heard of them, but I'm just getting into car audio.

Cranking Amps at 32 F: 900

Cold Cranking Amps: 770

My stock battery has 520 cold cranking amps.

Is this something I would want to op for and go ahead and switch out my stock battery for? I will be doing the Big 3 once I get my system, and if nesscacry a larger alternator. I figured it was free, and brand new, so why not go ahead and take it?

it looks like its kind of up to par w/ a redtop...not quite, but should do the job as a starting battery if you cant afford an optima. just make sure it fits in your car

It's a WalMart brand battery, I believe, and it's a good battery.

I've read reviews of people getting 7 years out of them, which is ridiculous.

Yes it is a wal mart battery, its an upgrade from what you have stock, not a high end car battery, but for free its a deal and then some!! I think there about 60 bucks at wal mart. we used em in a few of the cars that had walls in them. there cheap, effective, and you can trade em in every few month
