Amp overheating after short time. Not loud volume and gains are turned to 60% max on front and about 80% max on rear

Would running 8 Guage power and ground when 4 guage is recommended cause a fosgate amp to overheat prematurely?

Front left and right 75 W @ 4 ohms CDT CL 61a's

Rear Bridged 300W @ 4ohms 8" JL sub in sealed box.

Running of Alpine HU.
