help installing noise filter

Hey can anyone tell how to in stall one of these http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F007%5F002%5F004%5F000&product%5Fid=270%2D051 its a noise suppressor filter deal from radio shack the guy at radioshack said to install it inline with the amp but that doesnt seem like its a good idea. help please!

btw ive already tried everything else...

It's only rated for 10 amps. Bad idea.
