Help with subs

Any help. Having trouble with my subs. I have 5 channel skars amp two 8 Inc subs. When I turn up the volume it cuts off. If I un hook the subs it dose not do it . Changed ground and tried different sub same results
I would also check the power supply chain. Battery terminal, fuse holder, amp power terminal screw, amp ground terminal screw, amp ground contact point.

You can connect subs with wires in different ways and that can change the ohms (resistance) the amplifier sees.

Too low of a load (closer to 0) and some amplifiers can't do it.
Some amplifiers can only go down to 2 ohms.
I'm wired to 1ohm.
I have 2 subs. Each sub is dual voice coil and 4 ohms.

So, are your subs single voice coil or dual voice coil?
How many ohms is each sub?

You need to know that, and how it's wired up (conected) matters.

You could do the 8" as a front sub on its own amp and use it to bridge/enhance the gap between your 12" in the rear to the midranges
