WEll I just hooked up system back up and i was gettin out my car and it smelled like burnin MDF board. after Further inspection from stickin my hand into the port and feelin around i relized it was pretty hot in there. THe Sub is a 30hm W7 12 with a 1500 watt Alpine MRV 1507. is this normal or what?

well it may get warm, it shouldnt get hot enough to burn though. Sometimes u can get like the glue to warm and it gives off a smell but nothing should be hot enough to burn mdf...?

Yeah i'd have to agree, nothing should get hot enough to ruin your box. probably a fuse blown? i haven't had a problem with heat output.
