I have 2 12" w1 150W 8ohm JL audio subs and a sony XM1502X 2ch amp. My amp puts out 150Wx2 at 4ohm so I want to wire my subs at 4 ohm, how do I do this. I'm new so dont just send me to the sticky, I need it explained a bit.

the lowest ohm load ur gonna get from two 8ohm subs is a 4ohm load which is gonna give u less power. but to do this u need to wire parallel, connect both pos and hegs together

good luck

OK...the specs I looked up say(XM-1502SX, I am assuming you meant) that it is 150x2@4ohms or 380x1@4ohms bridged. Hook both of your positives from your subs to the +bridge terminal and both negatives to your -bridge terminal. This will have you @ 380watts@4ohms

and teg..maybe I'm just misunderstanding your post, but it sounds like your telling him that 4ohms produces less power than 8ohms?? If so..not true. 4ohms=less resistance=more power allowance.
