Excellent SQ. That is their main purpose, they just happen to be really efficient and get really loud.

Ive got the lower model of the 2 they make coupled with Digital Designs midbass. They are CRISP to say the least and they get really, really loud. Im not even running them with an amp anymore, the headunit is more than enough for my taste. I cant imagine what the better ones soundlike.

You can find them on Ebay rather often for around 250-350 for the set of HLCD's, crossovers, and mids. If you buy them I strongly advise being completely sure it comes with the crossovers.
