MB Quart DSE216.... dissapointed

I just got my 6.5 inch MB Quart components installed tonight (discuss series) and I must admit i feel disapointed... I mean I know I payed too much for them but still. I must say they do not sound as well as I thought they would. I had infinity reference series coaxals running off an alpine 4ch amp (4x40rms@4ohm) and I would say that had I not wasted $175CDN on the install I would switch back. The infinities were lowder and definatly the better bang for the buck. I payed $160CDN for them last year and payed $400CDN for the MB Quarts about 2 weeks ago.

I really really wished that I listened to the people on these forums and tried out those CDTs from the Zeb.

oh yea I forgot... the wiring on one of the tweeters fell out and cannot be sodered back on... some high quality product....

I have the older model discus 5.25's, they sound lovely driven off my car's internal amp. Sorry to hear about your situation, you're positive they're installed correctly?

i know discuss is the bottom line of mb quart, but **** there must be a lot better speakers out there for $400CDN + tax
