Mtx 8100d Vs Mtx 1501d

i believe it's teh same amount of power. there might be a diff @ 4ohms, but i am very sure tha tu wont be runnin that beast @ 4ohms anyways

MTX 1501D:

RMS Power: 750W x 1 @ 4 ohms

Bridged RMS Power: 1500W x 1 @ 2 ohms

MTX 81000D:

Power 12.5 VDC Input

2 Ohm Load 1000 w x 1

4 Ohm Load 500 w x 1

Power 14.4 VDC

2 Ohm Load 1500 w x 1

4 Ohm Load 850 w x1

Although i think the 81000d is a little more underrated than the 1501d

I just got a 1501d and it is rated at 1163 watts at 12 volts. It definitely is a beast. Hey BDiddy -- do you have 4 gauge or 0/1 gauge power. Also, how are you powering that amp? New alt? Caps? Batts? BatCaps? My alt is only 90 amp, and there are no upgrades available from ANYONE -- thinking on a batcap and 35 farad capacitor(Unless I can sell my whole setup). Any input is appreciated

I have 1/0 gauge running to mine, because it's recommended. But CC runs 4 gauge to theirs. I don't have a upgraded amp or a cap. My alt can't be more than 90 also. It would probably be louder if I had more juice to give out but you could probably get your rewound. Also http://www.weldingsupply.com has 1/0 for .99 a ft. People say it's really flexible too.

Hope this helps...
