Need help - cd stuck in cd player

I have a 2001 Mazda 626 with a factory issue cd player. I recently got a CD-R stuck in the player. The cd player recognizes that there is a cd inside, but will not eject. How can I remove the CD without having to take the unit apart???

it sounds like the ejection gears are messed up, so there is no real way to get it out without taking the unit apart.

think of it this way... its obvious that the radio is broken, and i'm assuming that it is not under warrenty. hammer time. beat the hell out of it with a hammer. if that fails, take every visible screw out until you reach the cd

I had this problem once. If you havent tried yet. Turn off the unit and turn it back on holding the eject button. Or try other ON/OFF functions.
