Grr picking subs is extremely difficult when you're working with 3.66 total internal airspace and you want really loud hard hitting bass and to top it off in a 1999 ford taurus trunk, so I was thinking about 4 ED12kx's sealed or maybe 2 L712's sealed or maybe 3 L710's sealed im mostly just want loud hard hitting brain rattling bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif SQ is a plus of course i don want 100SPL/0SQ but im not out for SQ, just wanna retain some but not really alot, I'd rather get 2 12's ported but ED is too SQ oriented for my taste most likely, yes I know their capable of getting loud but i must face it, if i want mainly SPL and extremely loud hard hitting bass I gotta go with more spl oriented subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but hard to find those that do well in small boxes any suggestions? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

What kind of set up did you have in mind to fit the 4 12's in 3.66 cubes?

Why not 4-6 RE 8s in ported boxes? Or an e8a... but what is with the SPL emphasis. People typically (...) don't goto spl competitions with sealed boxes, and they lose output.... if this is a daily driver, go with a more SQ bias and put some good sounding woofers in there... because SPL woofers in a sealed box still sound like fart cannons when you turn them up!

You could also look at the magnum D2s, which won't need tons of power to rattle your teeth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well 2 L712's would get about 1.7 each sealed, and they would still pound with close to 800W each ? I know people hate on kicker but i can get them dirt cheap, I never get the loudness I want from a single sub 15" setup ported, I've had a L715" ported with about 4 cubes after displacements with 800W now the SS treo 15" with 1500W ported both tuned to arouind 35hz, yes their loud but not near what I want so i think img onna do the 2 L712's in sealed box in trunk with 800W each, cuz i can get them brand new shipped with warranty for 240 i think
