New system, having a problem

Just had a new system installed in my 1999 Honda CRV. I'm running The following:

Polk DXi6501 components in front

Polk DXi651 coaxials in back

Alpine type S 12" sub

Alpine PDX-V9 amp

Sony 5000 head unit

The problem is that I am getting a tinny sound on high pitched guitar in rock music. No problems at all with hip hop or pop music. But the guitar just doesn't sound good when I'm at a relatively high volume. I'm totally new at this so any help is appreciated. It was installed by a friend of mine who works in car installation (but he's relatively new at it). Do I just need to let these speakers break in? Or is it an adjustment fix? Thank you all!

For some extra peace of mind, you could do a big-3 upgrade with the same 4 guage ofc wire.

Disconnect the amp for a day or two, then connect it back up. If it stops draining when unplugged then drains again, take it back and have them...

I would also recommend checking all the amps wiring to make sure secured/ tight and ground is solid and remote making solid contact in the terminal
