right now i have an Orion 2500d powering a 12'' W7.

i dont really think i will ever need the full 2500 watts anytime soon...so i was thinking...

it seems kinda like a waste of power and money to be running that amp @ 3 ohm.

i could sell it, and buy something a little more practical... i was looking into an ED NINe.1

i know i would see a loss of output...but is there anything else to really consider in downgrading?

would a NINe.1 even be enough power for my W7 @ 3 ohm?

Why wire the eD @ 3ohm?

To answer your question, i would... and sell me the orion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Ive seen so many amps done this way over the years. Especially ones that had the Molex plugs and a couple others

Yes, they do. As for the Taramps remote control, it is for use with the EQ they sell, not as a remote bass knob. They are not very sophisticated...
