Rattling Sub Box

So I've got 2 10" subs in a sealed box that are in the cabin with me. The box isn't great quality but due to space constraints my choices are limited. The question is I hear a rattling noise when I turn the subs up. Is this generally caused from the speaker wire in the box hitting the walls of the box when it is turned up or is this the box itself?

One portion of the box is 1/8 of an inch thick. I will be fiberglassing the inside of the box to add strength but I've never had a problem with rattling but I've also used boxes in the past that utilized 3/4" mdf...

Thanks.

any air leak will create a nasty noise, either that or your subs are ****ed up. Keep in mind the box is just as important as the equipment, you may want to upgrade. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Only upgrade I can do is go with fiberglass or reinforce existing box with fiberglass. So rattling generally means there is an air leak? I know when I turn up the subs the 1/8" piece of would flexes like crazy. I thought the box used 5/8" mdf but because of box depth constraints (in a Tundra) the back 5/8" has a circle cut out for magnet space. Then He slapped a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" over the hole on the outside of the box. I tried siliconing around all the joints.

Here is a link. Any of you know how much a custom box generally costs?

Generally that would be an option. Problem is these are the tightest space constraints I've ever had to deal with. Using 3/4" mdf isn't an option so I'd have to fiberglass it...

That being said, I dropped my low pass crossover from 125hz, down to 80hz and the sound seems to be gone. This is great news. I still plan on at minimum reinforcing the inside of the box with fiberglass for rigidity because the amount of flexing is ridiculous.
