RE XXX vs Alpine R's

I have the opportunity to buy a 15" XXX, and right now I have 2 12" alpine type R's, in a ported enclosure, run by 2 alpine 500 watt v12 amps (mrd m500). Im wondering which will sound better, and go louder...Keep the R's or get the xxx?

Personally I would take the XXX. I have yet to hear an XXX but I had 1200 RMS going to 2 Type R 12's and when I put that 1200 RMS to a single HC it spanked the Type R's hard. Since the XXX is better than the HC, I can conclude that the XXX "in theory" is better than the Type R's.

The type r is a good sub, but you cant compare it to a xxx. xxx wins in every aspect.
