my friend wants to run four of these 8's with an avionixx 800.4

he was wondering if these subs hit pretty low because re's site says they can get to 22.8 hz. is this true? also to those of you that have heard them, how are they? do they sound better ported or sealed.

these subs are gonna be installed in a 2000 nissan frontier crew cab so space is an issue and it might not be possible to port them. what do you guys recommend? thanks in advance

Fs doesn't dictate the limit of low frequency response..

they do fine sealed, but excel ported... .5 cuft per, tuned to 32-35hz..

and they are a SUBwoofer.. and can preform as well down low as any bigger speaker..

Loyds got that right! Don't be worried about putting them in a ported box thats on the small side if you don't have the room. Read my review in this subwoofer forum. I have them in a very small box for ported and they hit hard and low.
