Soundstream Edge vs. Rubicon

Hey im looking for a 4 channel amp that puts out like 150-160 rms @2ohms. I have been looking at the Edge 4160 and the Rubicon 600.4. Which one is better? Do they put out what it says or are they overrated? Should i even stickwith Soundstream or should i look at something else?

Definitely the rubicon, the edge is the entry level for soundstream, but still sounds good. I have a soundstream rubicon 1000-2 and believe me its really good. If moneys a problem then go with the edge, but otherwise, DEFINITELY either the rubicon or the reference series......Oh and they are WAYYY underrated amps

killahbeen, did you have to replace your stock alt from using the rubi1000? does it put out clear nice power? does it ever overheat? thnx i might get one depending on some reviews i get from it.

my 92 acura legend has a stock 105 amp alt and no I do not have to replace it with a high output one....YESSS it puts out very good clean power....I'm running the amp at 2 ohms and it has never overheated on me.....the amp is stable down to 0.5 ohms.....so you wont ever have to worry about it overheating....these amps are very efficient
