My brothers Prelude got broken into and everything got stolen, so we are starting from scratch. I am trying to locate the best subs for him. I am recommending Adire or Elemental Designs. Willing to spend about 200 USD on a sub. Either the EDK or Shiva. Ideas???

but out of the two, ide say eD K, only because it looks sweet and i know about eD's performance(wont let u down!). Ive also heard the shiva has more SQ than the K.. but couldnt tell u personally.

ok no need to rip on other brands..especially kicker....and why should he ditch the ed...ed's are great subs....i've heard several ed setups and they all sound great....and i personally have a 10" kicker until i can get my xxx and i think it sounds good for the $60 i paid for it...

kicker L7's arnt bad subs, just not so much SQ. They can take a beating and hit high numbers, no need to diss em.

the L7 is a great SPL sub...

i was at a car show last week..

their was a tahoe w/ 3 10 l7... he did a 154.

their was only 2 other systems louder..

1- being a SPL van which did a 159

and the other being Treo 15...

Re hc... a truck had 3 12s... did a 151...

actually you should not put down the kicker subs, if you had any smarts you would see that they are not too badly priced on the net, espically for the numbers they are putting up in competitions, for the most part they are one of the most used subs for SPL, oh and a little side note, they have a complete lock on the Crazy 8's so I would so not put them down at all, very durable subs, unless you smoke them with 5000 watts or something insane, and I hope you were not reffering to their amps either, I will just mention my old succesful amps until they were also stolen (hence the reply)
