super budget system

im in the process of building a super budget system for my daily driver

it has no stereo in it what so ever and ive been using a beats xl pill with the blue tooth to my iphone for music for the last 6 months and its starting to get old

its time to upgrade from the beats to a stereo

my daily driver is a 1975 lhd classic mini with a 998cc/4 speed

I plan to install a gm cs130 alt into this bad boy, witch I believe those are 105amp or something close to that, my stock alt is 45amp, I plan to hit up the junkyard for a used stock alt

so far my stereo parts are priced at $$

kenwood h/u $100, I don't remember the model off the top of my head but it does what I need

jbl gto301.1 free

jbl cs60.2 60w@4ohms x 2 $20

kicker cvt 12 $50 used by a co-worker for a few months before he upgraded

1.25 cu ft^3 sealed box (3/4 mdf) I built out of some left over mdf from boxes Ive built for other people, so no cost for me

15 ft of 4ga power wire, fuse holder, remote turn on wire $30

10 ft of 12 ga speaker wire for the sub, $free

2 15ft of monster rca cables on sale for $3.25 each

so far I have $206.50 into my super budget system

so I only need to get some speakers for the front

my front speakers will be mounted on a board and ran off of 60wrms ea

I could box it in alittle for the most part

something close to this, that I will be making

http://optauto.easyspaceshops.com/WebRoot/EasySpace/Shops/100112422/MediaGallery/Website_Design/Products_And_Services/Classic_Mini/Classic_Mini_Dash_Rail_Speaker_Pods_-_Header.jpg

here's what im thinking

if I go with the alpine speakers I will buy the 2nd pair at half price and get two of them at $65

Alpine SXE-1750S 6.5" Type-E Component Speakers System

and upgrade the crossover to some cdt units (to protect the tweeters) that I have laying around

or

and then I will have to buy some 16ga speaker wire but that's not a big deal

not sure witch speakers for the front to go with

I just want some sound that's alittle bit louder then the beats xl pill

I'm in the early stages of a $300 budget complete system:

USED:

Pioneer DEH-X56HD ($35 shipped)

Alpine MRP-M500 ($77 shipped)

SoundQubed HDS215 ($75 shipped)

Jensen LXA400 (sale pending, $50 shipped)

New:

2 pairs VM Audio 6.5" coax ($40 shipped total)

1 pair PPI T.2 tweeter ($13 shipped)

Right now I'm working on the sub box. Only the coax have been installed. After vacation, she comes together!!

The tweeter has to be crossed over somehow. Doesn't matter if it occurs at the HU, the amp or passively.
