So I have a plan set for build happening very soon. My plan is 2 apsm-1300's powering 2 12" Obsidian Audio's, 1/0 will be ran to an optima yellow top D34/78, Then 4 gauge will be ran from the battery to the apsm's. My box will be tuned for 30 hz at 3.5 cubes. My question is.... I am currently running 4 genaric audio pipe 3 way 6x8" speakers. I'm concerned that the bass from the trunk will be overkill to the speakers and all I will hear is bass. Could anyone give me an idea whether I will have to upgrade the speakers first or not.

lol.... I have stock speakers and they can keep up till anything under 35hz plays then you can't hear anything...

But as far as them ap's i'm not sure, i'm sure if you pushing them with an amp they would keep up... but i could be wrong

The subs wont drown out your speakers if you turn down the knob on your amp to your subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Decks dont put out much power at all. Most put out 22 watts rms per channel and that is with high distortion. Barely enough power to tickle your pickle

haha sad part is ive already got 3000 wrapped up into my cars audio and right now im sitting on f*ckin speakers and a deck. hahah
Bwah? You have 3 grand in a system consisting of four audiopipe 6x8's, a deck, no amps, and no subs? Is it a $2600 deck?

I would also recommend checking all the amps wiring to make sure secured/ tight and ground is solid and remote making solid contact in the terminal

160AH lithium that supports a 12K system is pretty lofty! I've seen dual 24's or quad 12's that will do this. Most of what 've run across is dual...

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
