I have seen a SSX in a car but not in a competition, and I saw a few CSX's at a comp, but they were not in the lanes at the time

They burnt 3 or them though because they were not using them for SPL, they were using them for continuous playing. The market here is flooded with Treo subs...

so yeah, I've been close to more than one treo. Seen a car in a mag have 8 treo TSX subs. Amazing.

I've heard both the SSX and CSX here. Sounds really, really awesome, and the build quality is worth drooling over. I once wanted to get the SS series. Dustin told me that they can get quite loud. The SS, being an entry-level sub, didn't sound too amazing to me, but I guess it was a bad install. (Or maybe cause there's just too many treo subs around here)

I used to have a pic in my gallery of 4 SSX in the boot.

I think they are awesome subs, not to mention very expensive.

If I get the SS, I would be putting it in a 2 cu ft ported box tuned to 47 hz. Wired at 1-ohm and running 1000 watts to it. Burp only. Wired at 4-ohms 340 wtts daily driving.

Why not go for a TSX instead then? It only costs a BIT more than the SS, certainly much cheaper than the SSX/CSX.

The SS is a step above the TSX. The SS is also not the entry levely sub for Treo. Its more of the entry level SPL sub for Treo. Oh how I would love to get my hands on a SSX or CSX.

Man.

I just saw an ad on the MECA forum for Treo SS 12.22s going for $75 a piece. Posted in Feb 03 but I Pm'd dude anyway. He supposedly has/had 16 of them.
