Video Screen Pixels???

Ive been shopping for a screen for my expedition and ive cought on to the more pixels you have, the better the image. I think, but if i were to get a 7.5 screen at 16:8 widescreen with 1480 (H) x 234 (V) pixels, is that a good picture. I think its a d.e.i monitor. But those are the pixels. What do u think?
