what frequency range usually hits higher DBs on 12s???

maybe 35-30Hz you can get a tone generator and make a cd of solid tone at a certain frequency and find out which has the most output, try NCH tone generator. also depends on your subs and box how are you set up?

Get a tone generator and make tones from like 75 hz down. winISD may also do the trick but it definitely wont be more accurate than just trying it out yourself.
