Box is too small... Go sealed or take away a sub

Sorry if I was unclear. I will definitely be doing a ported box. I'm just trying to determine if I can squeeze 3 subs in the box at 1.93 cubic feet when the recommended volume is 2.25. I actually just found some more info that says the ideal volume for these subs in a ported box is .65 each. So...

Box is too small... Go sealed or take away a sub

I appreciate the info. Also, I have gone back to the drawing board a bit and have determined that if I make the box wider and angle the front face a bit, I can get some additional air space. This would get me 1.93 cubic feet. Obviously, it's still a little short of the 2.25 recommended, but...

Box is too small... Go sealed or take away a sub

That's where my head was at as well. Any thoughts on where to tune the box? My last box in my Mustang was tuned to 33hz, but that was with the Sundown subs that I had. These are the NVX VSW82v2.

Box is too small... Go sealed or take away a sub

Hello. I am in the midst of building a box to go under the backseat in my 2019 F150 super crew. The original plan was for it to house 3 8" NVX subs. But, due to having to shrink the box down a bit after doing some real world measurements, I'm stuck with a box that's right at 1.5 cubic feet. The...

How does this look for an active set up?

I'm gathering the final pieces for the system in my 2019 F150. So far, I have 3 8" NVX subs that'll go into a ported box under the rear seat and will be powered by a SoundQubed S1-1250. I also have a SoundQubed S4-100 to drive the front components. Everything will be run off of the factory Sync...

    A couple power related questions.

I am about to order the all the wires etc for the new system I'll be putting in my 2019 F150 super crew. The amps will be a SoundQubed S1-1250 (for 3 8" NVX subs) and a S4-100 (will run a set of 6.5" mids and a pair of 1" tweets - have not been selected as of yet). The source will be the factory...

    Thoughts on NVX subs

Not unless it'd be down during, which I really don't want to do.

    Thoughts on NVX subs

BTW, the other sub I've been looking at is the DS18 DS18 SLC-8S. But, it seems folks around REALLY do not like DS18.

    Thoughts on NVX subs

I'm rethinking my set up for my truck. I was originally planning on running 4 6.5" subs. But, now I'm leaning more towards 3 8" subs. But, I need some subs that are on the smaller side. So, I've really been looking at the NVX VSW82v2. They seem like they'd be perfect as far as form factor goes...

Better option for the money than DCS165-4?

OK, so it comes down to it and you're placing an order for 4 subs, based on currently available models, whatcha pickin'?

Better option for the money than DCS165-4?

Do y'all think the Tang Bands would be any better. They're about $14 more per sub. Not too bad.

Better option for the money than DCS165-4?

I think I'll see if I can find anything appealing tomorrow for Cyber Monday and will cop that Daytons if I don't find anything.

Better option for the money than DCS165-4?

Sweet. The box I planned out is about 1.53 cubes and can go a little bigger if needed.

    It'll be ported.

Better option for the money than DCS165-4?

I'm looking to build a box for my 2019 F150 crew cab. It'll be going under the rear seat and I want to run 4 6.5" subs. I've always wanted to give Dayton a try and at $40ish each, the DCS165-4 look hard to beat. Are there any others that y'all would recommend for a similar price ($50ish ea)...
